The artist has done his B.F.A & M.F.A in Painting from Kala Bhawan; Santiniketan.Samit Das has many scholarships & Awards to his credit. 2001- 02 Charles Wallace India, Trust from British Council; 1998 – 2000 Junior Fellowship from Govt. of India, 1996 – 98 National Scholarship from Govt. of India. He has held many solo & group shows in India & abroad.

An artist – photographer, Samit Das began his creative journey working with architectural structures and has since experimented with different mediums to build interesting textures in his works.

The artist lives & works in New Delhi.
