The artist is Gold Medalist in B.V.A and M.V.A from Rabindra Bharati University. He received many awards and scholarships like Ebrahim Alkazi Endowment Scholarship for Research Work in 2001 – 2002, Annual Award from Birla Academy of Art & Culture in 2001, Annual Award from AIFACS, New Delhi in 2000.He has participated in various solo and group shows. The artist published a book of Bengali poem with three other co-authors named\' Kothay Kothay Jai\'. The artist lives & works in Kolkata.
